The Closet

So, Sunday was not your typical Sunday. I worked, which was meh. Inconsequential, really, to the important part, which is everything that happened after I got off. Basically, I worked from 2 - 6.30ish, and then was on my way.

That is what I've found playing music when I'm trying to write is. Funnily enough, though, I don't get much more done with the silence. The silence bothers me more. I can hear the clock ticking behind me and I can FEEL the time I'm wasting staring at a blank page or the computer screen.

I need noise. Not necessarily music, and not loud, annoying noises. But just everyday noises. Maybe I'll go to a library this weekend, see if that helps. If I had a back-up battery for my computer, I'd probably… Continue

I may or may not have mentioned this before. One of my favorite teachers from high school was my drama teacher, Mr. Guiltner. During my senior year, his wife was pregnant and their son was born a couple of months after I graduated. They then moved to Oklahoma where he's a college professor.

Yesterday, at work, the managers were talking about the floor set that was scheduled for today. They were short people, so they were trying to see who wasn't scheduled to work already during the day who could and would come in for it that they could spare.
