The Ministry of Abnormality

Welcome to the Game!

A note before we start
I'd like you to all RP it as though you know each other beforehand, just to quicken the pace of the game. Also, please don't be TOO circumspect about plot hooks, though I have no problem with you pursuing your own agenda, don't let them take over the game too much (I'm look at you Luca).

It's a mild summer evening in ratchet, the stars are shining and the smell of the sea breeze permeates the air. The sounds of music and of nightlife can be heard all through the port city, as it is currently the Midsummer Festival, and the citizens of Ratchet are celebrating raucously. One pub in particular, is louder than the others. The Pen and Wig is known throughout the city for it's fine food, fine ale and fine rooms, and it is there that you Adventurers are currently spending your evening.

Inside the tavern it is warm and well lit, though one corner stands in shadow, and it is at this corner your group sits. There are many other patrons, and the barkeep is busily taking orders. The establishment has lived up to it's reputation, and there are bards singing and performing, as well as other forms of "entertainment". There is a crowd at the eastern side of the tavern, and they all seem to be making a fuss about the notice on the wall. One particularly large Tauren raises his fist yells out to his friends. His booming voice can easily be heard in every corner of the common room. We shall head to Orgrimmar, and answer Thrall's summons! WE shall claim the first place!
His exclamation is greeted with much cheering and punching the air by the four hardy looking orcs and the single tauren female, that evidently, are his comrades.

A nearby drunken goblin looks over to your table shouts out at your group. "'Ey, yew lot look like a wervy bunch, maybe yew should answer the summons and put that arrogant *hic* tauren in 'is place! *hic*" He seems startled by his own shrill hiccups and seems to forget about you, and staggers off in search of somewhere to spew.

The way I picture it, Dieter Bach is sitting in the shadowed corner, with the rest sitting around him. You guys can be imaginative, just remember you are all on first names with each other, and it's up to you to RP how much more everyone knows. You can be a band of mercenaries, or just a group of friends meeting up again after a few years. All that matters is that you will become a group of unlikely heroes ;D. Now, RP away!

"I seriously doubt it, master Tauren" Alean spoke up, loud enough for the tauren to hear, but not turning around.

For Alean

The tauren turns around, and walks over to your table with no hesitation. "What was that, puny Night Elf?" He snorts in your face, and you can feel a puff of hot breath blow your hair back. "Do you wish to challenge my band?"

Alean discretely looks around at his mates, trying to see if they agree with the challange.

-"Dat depends on tha challenge mon?" Dud replies to the large tauren and took a drink from his ale... "This be a partay." he continues... "Dud suggest a challenge of the drinkin kind!" he raises his drink to the tauren and smiles....

For Dud and Alean

The tauren bursts out laughing at the sight of Dud's tusky grin. I fear I would not hold against the legendary troll drinking ability. He turns to Alean. We are the Order of the Charging Bull, and we are a mercenary band. Thrall has issued a summons for groups of warriors to attend his tournament in Orgrimmar. Business has not been great lately, what with the peace treaty between our seperate factions. We intend to travel to Orgrimmar and claim the grand prize for winning the tournament. Perhaps we will see your band there. He turns away from you and walks over to the table that his comrades have secured for him and sits down, resuming conversation and revelry.

As the tauren walked away, Alean spoke up "Are you so sure that you are willing to place a wager on that?"

For Alean

He calls back to you, a serious look on his face. "I'm afraid that if we lost the wager, I wouldn't be able to pay you what I owed."

"Big prize be that big huh?" Dud asked the Tauren

For Dud

The Tauren looks as though he is beginning to tire of conversation with you."I suggest you go look for yourself, friend troll. Or if you cannot read, ask that pretty night elf friend of yours to go read it for you."

"What's the matter, master Tauren? Lost your nerve?" Alean said as he laughed.

For Alean

He looks Alean straight in the eye."If you wish a fist fight, night elf, I will gladly give you that and more at the Tournament. However, this is a night of celebration, and I will not mar it with drunken brawls. And I have already explained to you, I do not have the coin to back any wager I might make, and I do not wish to be put in a position in which I cannot pay my debts." He turns his back to you, making it obvious he will not converse with you anymore this night.

Fizzle spoke to the rest around the table "I say we go to Orgrimmar. There is always some way to make a coin there and drunk orcs are easier to scam money from anyway hehehe"
