Commissioned Comic

The Ministry of Abnormality

Righto, the character sheets. I figured that since I've got some time on my hands, I might as well do my part.

Name: Salsakka Xiruahi.

Gender: Male

Race:
Sesha. A race from the deserts of Bonidril that is most closely described as a combination between raptor-like dinosaurs and humans. Not much is known about the Sesha, although they have displayed signs of great stamina and agility, as well as a rather tough skin.

Class:
Merchant in arcane and various mysterious wares.

Job: Salsakka is a travelling merchant, who has visited most of the continents, selling and buying objects of interest and value.

Skills:
Being well-spoken and educated, but also quite intimidating due to his mysterious reptilian origins, Salsakka is a skilled and experienced trader. He knows a lot about the different peoples and cultures around the world, as he's travelled a lot. He is also a skilled rider, being able to mount most creatures trained for that purpose. He also knows quite a lot about magic, but displays no talent to cast any form of spells on his own. This doesn't mean he can't use the magic items he finds on his travels, though. Not only acting as his merchandise, the magic items in his possession are also utilized for his defense, or the obtaining of different goals.

Craft: Not particularly skilled at making things, he prefers to barter for them and obtain more wealth and knowledge in the process.

Special possessions: A magical cloak, which could be described as ''a cloak of many bags of holding'' or somesuch. All his merchandise is contained in this cloak, enabling him to travel lightly while still having a large amount of goods to trade.

Combat: Salsakka will always attempt to prevent fighting, but when it comes to it, he relies on his natural agility, tougness, and claws. His bite is also quite nasty, able to sever a limb with some luck. Other than his natural gifts, he also utilizes a venomous stinging device mounted on the tip of his agile tail. The venom is actually from his pet, who has a venomous bite. Salsakka can also choose to use some of his more dangerous merchandise (the more damaging magic items, for example), but loathes to do so, as it's his bread and butter.

Salsakka doesn't consider himself above running away if he doesn't feel like he's going to win. Leaving behind his merchandise is hardly relevant, as he carries it all in his magical cloak.

Pet: Xaxi, a small, winged pet most closely resembling an Archaeopteryx, a tiny bird-like dinosaur with colorful feathers. It speaks a very primitive language, through which Salsakka can communicate with it. This language isn't very complex, though, hardly coming further than ''search for something that looks like .....'' or ''when you see a monster, warn me''. Xaxi has, as aforementioned, a venomous bite, causing unconsciousness.

Kingdom
: Kelxír, a city-state in Bonidril. Salsakka has not visited it for a long time, though, and does not consider himself a subject of this kingdom.

Characters Name: Zaid (Zay-d)

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Assassin

Weight: 138.6 lbs

Appearance: Nothing really outstanding about him. A complete and utter face in the crowd. Should anyone try to describe him, they'd most likely resort to "he was kinda average, y'know?"

Body Build: Strong but not buff. Some visible muscle mass, but not much.

Job: Messenger.

Character's name: Yrag Xagyg

Gender: Male

Race: Halfling

Class: Babarian

Size: 2'3"

Weight: 31 lbs

Appearance: Yrag is indeed god's gift to the world, so long as the gift was small, wiry, wears a smelly loincloth that has seen better owners, and what skin can be seen beneath dirt is covered in bright green sigils, then he is indeed the god's gift to the world. God can sometimes have a cruel sense of humour.

Weapons: Like all of his tribe, they are master scavengers and have learnt to live off the land and it's bounty. In saying they do not have personal weapons and use whatever they can grab at hand. The furious assault of Yrag armed with two whirling Squirrels repelled a small band of invading kobolds once, wether with his martial skills or the shrieking animals, it matters not.

Clothes: A loin cloth that has been handed down through the ages, more or less because his tribe are not ones to throw away something that has worked fine for your ancestors. Washing is yet to be discovered so the smell that emanates is not entirely Yarg's own.

Body build: Wiry, like most of his kind, he is strong as only a Babarian can be and is known for vast feats of strength which equal that of a small man. Though his Stamina is near boundless.

Skills: He is a huge ability to climb objects, whether small or big, he seems able to find hand and foot holds which someone of larger size could not. He also has a fair spring in his step and is able to leap upwards and across a fair distance. Otherwise, able to improvise weapons at any moment is a skillmost would love to have.

Quirks: Sadly, having been away from most of the 'civilised' world, Yrag speaks no known language and talks in basic gibberish. There is no rythm or rhyme to his speech at all and what may mean 'go that way' one minute may mean 'I like your bark' the next. Also since washing is yet to be found, Yrag is very dirty and scratches a lot. He has fleas and ticks and all manner of parasites.

Background: In the mountains of Lonaediel, far from anything resembling what is termed as civilisation lies the long road to Rodrom where Yrag and his ilk hail from. Few have travelled this road and returned, mainly because there is nothing there to travel to. There are legends that their kind came from one halfling sent on mission by 12 dwarfs and a wizard to enter a dragon's cave, but like most legends, there is little to back tis up. Another is that a great foe once housed there in a huge tower, Noruas, and that he was destroyed by the nephew of the original halfling, but legends always speak grandly of such things. Now a days the Tribe of Sniggab is little more than a babaric tribe that lives off what it can off the land. A ferocious tribe when it needs to be, they have lived for centuries as such, ekking what life they can from their harsh homeland, that is until one day Yrag, the bravest and most heroic of them all was sent out on a sacred mission to retrieve a great person who can show them a better way. What way is unknown. What person is too a mystery, but Yrag strives out in this brave and mysterious world without a falter in his step, unless something looks interesting.

because their god is the ultimate creator, all tribesmembers strive to create something unique, and to be the best at making it as possible

Hey Shotaro.. You should read this first.

[I know I haven't posted here yet, but he doesn't!]

Background:

The world is called Yarno, the Fifth Realm. According to ancient scholars and loremasters, a god created 8 realms. Yarno, the fifth, is the world of wood. The world is completely civilized, with nought but few minor warring factions, and everything is settled with wooden blades. There is no metal in this world. Steel and bronze are things unheard of. The entire world is full of huge forests and natural dungeons made from Yarno itself.

But. There is a gnome. He calls himself Waxlow. Waxlow comes from the seventh realm. The world of steel, known as Onray, reversed name because it is the exact opposite of Yarno. Its an uncivilized beastly place, with nothing but death and destruction in the form of twisted steel and fire. But, Waxlow was one of the most peculiar beings. When he was born, he was born in Yarno. But, his mother was killed by a demon who was attempting to open a portal to the 8th world where Demons rule. But, the spell went awry, his mother stayed in Yarno, but Waxlow fell into Onray. He was brought up by a humble old wizard. See, in Onray, the old become kind and civilized.

Waxlow grew up as a civilized intelligent inventor, in a cruel world with everything already invented. But, Waxlow had learned of the realms. He payed a great wizard to take him to Yarno, where he would reveal the secrets of steel to the world, and get rich.

5 years pass as the portal spell is mastered. Finally, Waxlow is teleported into the new world. He ends up in a small city, known as Huntsbay. Waxlow walks into a nearby inn, and reveals his long and shiny steel blade.

A fortnight passes. Yarno has become a war-torn place in the continent of Guratiel. Everyone fights for these new weapons that can cut through a mans flesh with a slight stroke. The Dawn of Steel has arived. Who will save the world from the wrath of the strange new steel-bearing legions of death?

Your role:

You will be a member of a group, a group that comes from Lonaediel, a continent only a small bit north from Guratiel. You start in the tiny town of Groroc, each living seperate lives, until your fates are intertwined.

The World:

Yarno is seperated into 6 continents.

Guratiel, the English Continent. This is the place of reckoning. Before the Dawn of Steel, it was the most civilized and respectable place. But, after the Dawn of Steel, chaos broke out and Waxlow built a small city, where he rules a city known as Voranurth. He has a large army of followers, each in the best gear of the world currently.

Lonaediel, the Mountain Continent. Lonaediel has always been the most peaceful place. It has beautiful ranges of mountains, full of snow at the tips. Lonaediel is best known for its huge underground caverns home to all sorts of foul beasts, and the great dwarven city of Baran-Ol. Baran-Ol is the largest city ever built, which is comedical considering its home to Dwarves and Gnomes.

Bonidril, the Desert. Bonidril is the continent where it never rains. Not much is known, considering no one has gone into the desert and come out with a story to tell. It is but a normal place, according to the entire world, just devoid of life... Or is it? No one knows for sure.

Ironard, the Netherland. Ironard is the place of legends. From here comes the great men and women of the Norse tribes, people who have bested the most foul demons and beasts in defend of the entire world.

Sionor, the Land of Nether. Sionor was once a lush place full of life. But, a dark Lich arose and converted the land into a nether and shadow-filled land, scouring it of life and turning the land itself into large paths, with cracks that seem to fade into a space-like realm.

Aranidril, the Land of Elves. Aranidril is only mentionable because it is literally nothing but forests. Arnidril was once a huge continent, full of nothing but forests until a small sect of elves, survivors of the great war of Sionor, colonized the land with huge tree houses and elven designs of strange natures to any but the elves.

The Races:

Human - Duh.

Orc - Duh.

Elf - Duh.

Dwarf - Duh

Gnome - Duh

Halfling - Duh

Giant - Giants are a special race, being huge beasts of war. They range from 6 foot to 8 foot tall, making them much larger than all the races but definately not oversized.

Fairies - Fairies are a special race, being small beings of magic. They range from 3 ft to 6 ft tall, making them much smaller than most races, but definately not undersized. They have wings that let them hover, but for unknown reasons the wings do not let them actually fly too far high up. [Only about 10 feet, and not for long]

Beastren - Beastren are a special race. Beastren are the result of Beastren, which is the name of a man who cursed a man and caused him to turn into a big beast. As time passed, he unwillingly replicated and a new Beastren was made. This formed a chain reaction of Beastren, each with a different species of animal they where turned into. But, eventually they got too big and the curse made sure that no one else replicated. The Beastren now populate amongst themselves, peacefully as no one accepts them. There numbers are not big, but definately not small.

Cyclops - Cyclops are human-like people, but they have insanely large arms and legs, and only one eye, which is said to channel a dark energy amongst the cyclops race.

Ogre - Ogre's are another of the monster-races, but they are actually more peaceful because they live in Yarno. They are a fairly kind race, but there are some savage tribes. Ogres will always fight if they have to, but if they don't, will weigh the odds of success and fight based on that. They are a very calculating race, and prefer to make sure everything is perfect before they use it, which is the exact reason the Ogre's are the only race who have steel currently, besides Waxlow's minions.

Kobolds - Kobolds are one of the most confusing races ever. Each of them are only a small bit taller than dwarves, and theres three major factions. Lizard Kobolds. These are the kobolds that have greenish skin, and large scaly tails. Rat Kobolds. These are brown fur covered kobolds who have the longest tails, which are white like a rats. And Dog Kobolds. Dog Kobolds are a much darker color than Rat kobolds, but are hard to tell the difference from if your unexperienced, besides for the tail. They have big fluffy tails, like a dogs. The thing about the Kobolds is that each one thinks they are the best, and are very warlike and are constantly at war amongst eachother over it. The kobolds are actually very small numbered, so there war doesnt have an effect on any other race.

These are just some of the races, feel free to make up a race if you need to, but dont make them weird and make sure they stay in the size limit of 3-8 feet. I dont want to have to point out in every building that its built with extra high ceilings <_<<br />
The Classes:

Fighter - Duh.
Barbarian - Duh.
Ranger - Duh.
Cleric - Duh.
Rogue - Duh.
Druid - Duh.
Wizard - Duh.
Bard - Duh.
Sorceror - Duh.
Monk - Duh.
Paladin - Duh.
Necromancer - Duh.
Reaver - Reavers are my only custom class. They are elite warriors of an ancient sect of Undead Worshippers. The reavers focus in the matter of stealing souls for there god, Arawn. They are like Necromancers and Fighters mixed together, with lifetap abilities and the ability to summon very minor undead. They dont HAVE to be evil, though.

Feel free to make a class of your own, something thats not going to be UBERPWNZGEZ! but not going to be so weak you hide behind everyone else doing nothing.

Just incase you thought this was something different.

Also: Working now on the assorted bits about the RP, planning to jump-start it soon.. Just need to finish planning.

[Been working on my homework.. Icky 9 page packets of doom.]

No worries just to clarify

the Race and Class are OK just not the weapons/equipment, if so no problems will rewrite it ASAP just ignore that character and I'll probably write a slightly different backstory too.

Thanks for the setting info btw, been reading the comic for a while but never got involved in the forums, drawn in by the allure of something shiny and new
